Sometimes we can get the impression that peace is something that just comes upon us – something that doesn’t require anything by us – something that just surprising zaps us.
But quite the contrary. Following peace requires action on our part and one of those action steps is to educate ourselves regarding the situation in which we are seeking peace. In other words – do our homework.
Did you know that for every problem we face, there has been someone who has gone through a similar problem and overcome? Yes! There is someone out there who has wisdom for the challenges we face! We just need to find them.
When doing your homework, consider the following sources:
- Google it – Or use whatever site you prefer to search the internet.
- Ask someone you know who has experienced a similar challenge and gained victory.
- Read an inspiring book or story about overcoming obstacles and challenges.
- Pray – Ask God, the source of all wisdom, for direction.
Once you have done your homework you can have assurance that you have done your part. Sort of like walking into a class on test day, with full assurance that you have studied and have done all you can do. This brings confidence and a sense of peace.
So, go ahead, take on the role of a student. Buckle down and do your homework! There’s the former teacher in me coming out! 😉
You’ll then be in position to make an intelligent and wise choice.
And your chances of acing that assignment will go up dramatically!
